NCCC Veterinary Technology Program
Facility Information
Just as quickly as our program grows, so do our existing facilities!
This has been a fantastic year of growth for us and we have been fortunate enough to have some incredible equipment
added to our program. Sneakers Software, Inc. donated the DVMax Veterinary Software System to our technician program in the
fall of 2000. Utilizing this program, we are able to simulate the important role the computer plays in the veterinary field. Students obtain information regarding the veterinary patients, enter the
information into our NCCC database, create financial data for services rendered, and produce the necessary paperwork including client invoices, health and rabies certificates. IDEXX also was kind enough to donate a Vettest Blood
Chemistry Analyzer. Students will now be able to incorporate the laboratory skills of performing blood tests, such as pre-anesthetic blood screening, into both the Lab Procedures and Anesthesia and Surgical
Nursing Classes. Our program purchased a beautiful, brand-new radiology machine this school year on which students
will be able to practice many learned skills. This coincides nicely with the addition of a new class requirement to our program, The Principles of Imaging. |
