Adjunct Lecturers & Non-credit Lecturers

     

Northwestern Connecticut Community College

We are expanding our adjunct applicant pool in anticipation of potential position openings in the
Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 semester.

On-line and On-Ground part time day, evening and weekend instructors may be needed to teach credit courses
in the following areas:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Yoga
 
  • Human Services
  • Medical Assisting
  • Psychology
  • Veterinary Technology

Qualifications: You must have a Master's degree or equivalent in your subject area.
Experience in community college teaching and/or related work experience is preferred.
Equivalencies: Equivalent experience may be considered.
Salary: $1,272 - $1,369 per credit hour.

Part-Time Educational Assistants - Non-Credit Instruction and Contractual Services

The following are examples of the types of positions and services which may be needed in 2008-09:

Guest lecturers in various disciplines ;instructors who can use web-based delivery for on-line courses ;interpreters for the deaf; lab assistants or other specialists; ESL & GED certified instructors; instructors/project coordinators for credit and non-credit courses/workshops in areas such as management, business, computer science, computer software applications, engineering, manufacturing and plastics technologies, computer aided design/manufacturing, product design, CADD, ecological studies, leadership, culinary arts, nurses' aide training, allied health, certified motorcycle safety instructors, and experienced herbalists.

Share your expertise with the best students in the northwest corner. Instructors wanted to teach days, nights, or weekends!  Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

Allied Health - Antiques & Collectibles Art and museum tours - Business Communications - Computer Technology - Crafts Creative writing - Culinary - Gardening - Graphic Design - Health & Fitness - Herbal Studies - Hobbies Holistic Studies - Home Improvement - Job Skills Training · Languages - Local History - On-line classes - Recreation - Robotics

Degree requirements for the above, hours per week and salary, vary depending on the requirements of the position.  The fee for contractual services depends on the nature of the service.
