I strongly believe that
business knowledge is vital to the success of every individual and, therefore,
is an essential component in every student’s education. I strive to make the content of my classes relevant to the changing skills required in today’s business
world. My academic standards and assignments are designed to challenge students to achieve their highest potential. I expect my students to put forth as
much effort as possible. The more students put into their education, the more they will get out of it. I enjoy teaching and helping students achieve their educational and career goals.
Oral and written communication skills, listening proficiency, business etiquette, interpersonal skills,
organizational ability, and team work skills are increasingly important in
today’s competitive business environment. Therefore, I emphasize the importance of these “soft” skills
and incorporate learning activities in my classes that will help students
develop these valuable capabilities. I also encourage students
to participate in business internships so that they may apply the knowledge and
skills learned in the classroom to real life work situations and gain valuable
work experiences.
