Collegiate Education for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons Program (CEDHH)
 
Admission to CEDHH

All applicants to Northwestern Connecticut Community College must provide the following:

1. A standard NCCC application with the non-refundable $20.00 processing fee. (To apply online, go to www.nwcc.commnet.edu.)
2. An official high school transcript or General Education Diploma (GED)
3. Proof of measles and rubella immunization (if born after January 1, 1957 or graduated from high school before 1999)

Deaf and hard of hearing students planning to attend NCCC should present the following documents in addition to those listed under Admission (above):

1. A copy of audiogram recorded within the past 5 years
2. Scores from the Stanford Achievement Test, 9th ed. Intermediate 3 or Advanced 1 (if available)
3. Two completed CEDHH reference forms sent by different educators or employers

International students must go to the Admissions page for further application requirements. After receiving all of the required documents listed above, the CEDHH Program Liaison will administer a placement test to the applicant. Following completion of this test and review of application materials by an admissions review committee, the CEDHH Director will send either a letter of acceptance or a letter of recommendation for an alternative plan.
